Living room

This room has two leather sofas, an oak dining table and chairs, an oak bookcase and oak coffee tables. For entertainment there is a high definition 43" smart television with smart Freesat system for catchup TV. The TV has access to many apps including Amazon Prime and Netflix (accounts required).

The bookcase contains full sets of Wainwright and Ordnance Survey Lake District fell guides, together with several up to date guide books and tourist leaflets for the area including a number aimed at families.

Kitchen

The modern fitted kitchen is equipped with quality appliances including an electric oven and hob, extractor hood, microwave oven, separate fridge and freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, electric kettle, Dualit toaster, Dolce Gusto coffee pod machine and cafetière.

An electric iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, high chair and DAB digital radio are available.

Double bedroom

The double bedroom has views over Skiddaw and Blencathra and is furnished with an iron frame double bed (handmade by a local blacksmith), together with a solid oak double wardrobe, console table and bedside tables with individual lamps and a DAB digital radio alarm clock. A travel cot and hairdryer are available.

Twin bedroom

The twin bedroom also has views over Skiddaw and Blencathra and is furnished with iron frame single beds (handmade by a local blacksmith), together with a solid oak double wardrobe and bedside tables with individual lamps and a DAB digital radio alarm clock.

This bedroom has its own ensuite toilet and wash basin. A travel cot and hairdryer are available.

Bathroom

The bathroom is a large room with bath, separate shower cubicle, washbasin, large towel radiator, toilet and razor point. There is unlimited hot water available. The twin bedroom also has its own ensuite toilet and wash basin.

Porch

Porch: heated with large towel / drying radiator with bench and storage areas and racks  for coats, boots and push chairs and a full relief map of the Lake District helpful for planning walks.

Garden, patio and parking

The cottage has its own gated drive and a private and enclosed patio/garden area with garden chairs, Lakeland slate benches and table. The cottage has two private off-road parking spaces adjacent to the front door.
